Managing simulation workflows should be simple, intuitive, and efficient. That's exactly what we've focused on in MATOFX SPDM™.
MATOFX SPDM™ delivers a modern user experience that makes simulation management easier for both modelling Teams and business Users.
In the Home page you can see what’s running, you can access your recent Projects, Jobs and Studies. You can also launch common actions through the Quick Access functionality and search across Projects, Jobs, Studies with a powerful global search.
As simulation environments grow, so does the number of Jobs. Our enhanced Job Search helps you quickly locate exactly what you need, whether you're searching by Project, Scenario, Tool, Workflow, Job Name, or simply the Job ID.
You can view completed Jobs and download simulation files, plots, summaries, reports, and outputs by opening a Job. You can find unfinished Jobs, identify them by their status and complete them directly, as well as compare selected Jobs to analyse results more effectively.
The consistent interface across every page, collapsible navigation menu, light and dark themes, integrated help and tutorials, favourites for frequently used Tools and Workflows, and personalised account settings all help users work more efficiently.
With MATOFX SPDM™, finding, managing, and reviewing simulations is faster and more intuitive than ever.
Creating Projects, Scenarios, Jobs & Custom Workflows
MATOFX SPDM™ makes creating and managing simulation Jobs faster and more intuitive than ever.
Projects, Scenarios, and Jobs follow a clear structure, making it easy to organise simulations. Simply create or select a Project and Scenario, choose the required Tools or Workflows, and launch your Job immediately. You can also decide to save it for later.
Need to get started even faster? Quick Access lets you launch your favourite Tools and Workflows directly from the Home page with just a few clicks. MATOFX validates your inputs, queues the Job automatically, and once complete, you can view and download simulation files, plots, summaries, reports, and other outputs.
For more advanced automation, Custom Workflows allow you to combine multiple Tools into a reusable Workflow. MATOFX automatically determines the correct execution order, running independent Tools in parallel where possible to improve efficiency. Save and share your Workflows with your Team to standardise and accelerate your simulation processes.
Comparing Jobs, Workflows & Scenarios
Making informed simulation decisions starts with clear comparisons. MATOFX SPDM™ lets you compare Jobs, Workflows, and Scenarios side by side, with differences clearly highlighted.
Quickly find the runs you need using filters for Tool, Project, name, or run number, then compare inputs, outputs, plots, graphs, and overlaid charts to instantly see what changed. You can also compare entire Workflows or Scenarios, with matching workflow steps aligned automatically.
Once your analysis is complete, download input/output summaries, simulation files, or generate a comparison report in interactive HTML or PDF format for sharing and documentation.
Job Cohorts
As simulation data grows, organising related Jobs becomes increasingly important. Job Cohorts make it easy to group, track, and analyse completed simulation runs.
Simply create a new Cohort, give it a name and description, and select a Tool. MATOFX SPDM™ automatically finds all completed runs for that Tool, with options to refine the Cohort by Tool version, input ranges, or completion date.
Choose between a live, auto-growing Cohort that automatically includes future matching Jobs, or a fixed Cohort that preserves a curated set of simulation runs for consistent analysis.
Parametric Studies
Understanding how design inputs affect Simulation results is key to making better decisions. MATOFX SPDM™ makes it easy to set up and analyse Parametric Studies, helping you explore your design space efficiently while reducing cost, time, and risk.
Choose from a range of sampling methods, including Latin Hypercube, Sobol, Central Composite, Fractional Factorial, and Plackett-Burman, to generate the right study for your objectives.
Once complete, MATOFX SPDM™ provides powerful visualisation and analysis tools, including response and distribution plots, scatter plots, parallel coordinates, sensitivity analysis, ANOVA, response surfaces, prediction profiling, surrogate modelling, and Pareto analysis. These interactive insights help you identify key design drivers, understand trade-offs, optimise performance, and confidently explore "what-if" scenarios.
The results can also be used as seed runs for Optimisation, organised into Job Cohorts, or used to build Surrogate Models, creating a seamless workflow from exploration to optimisation.
Optimisation Studies
Finding the best design doesn't have to rely on trial and error. MATOFX SPDM™ automates the optimisation process, intelligently searching for the input combinations that deliver the best possible results based on your objectives.
Simply define the inputs to vary, set fixed parameters, choose whether to minimise or maximise your target outputs, and select an optimisation strategy. MATOFX SPDM™ then performs the search automatically, learning from each simulation to efficiently explore the design space.
Track optimisation progress in real time, analyse convergence, and, if needed, continue a completed study with additional runs, without losing what has already been learned.
Powerful visualisations, including the Design Space Explorer and Pareto Front, help you understand correlations, trade-offs, identify the best-performing designs, and make confident decisions. Once complete, you can download reports, plots, simulation outputs, and use the results to build Surrogate Models or support further design exploration.
Surrogate Models
Why wait hours for simulation results when you can get reliable predictions in seconds?
MATOFX SPDM™ enables you to build Surrogate Models - lightweight predictive models that learn from existing simulation data and deliver near-instant results. Models can be created from Parametric Studies, Optimisation Studies, or curated Job Cohorts, making the most of the simulations you've already performed.
Choose the most suitable modelling method, compare model accuracy using built-in goodness-of-fit metrics, and publish trusted Surrogate Models as reusable Tools for yourself, your project Team, or your entire organisation.
By dramatically reducing computation time, Surrogate Models accelerate virtual prototyping, design exploration, and decision-making.
